Go back two months, I was in Ecuador having the best time ever.
I was on a month long trip with 13 other students from my school to Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands. We got to try and experience so many new things including white water rafting, hiking at altitude, learning a new language, snorkeling, and helping out communities, to name a few.
My favourite part of the trip: It's so hard to pick a favourite! I really loved the project phase, where we worked in a school for three days. The community was very small and close, and they were so welcoming! Although there was a huge language barrier, they did everything they could to help us. The kids at the project were so sweet, and we spent hours with them teaching them some different games and dances. They loved duck duck goose, we played that for ages. They even taught us a game! I don't know the name for it, but it was a lot of fun.
Snorkeling in the Galapagos was also amazing, and such a great experience. We saw so much wildlife, and I'll never forget the sea lion that swam past us literally two inches from my face.
If you are ever given the chance to travel or go on an exchange program, I really hope you do because it's such a good experience, and you have so much fun.
A big thank you to the teachers on the trip, also World Challenge, and our World Challenge leader, Simon. Also the students on the trip because there couldn't of been a better group of people :)
I will definitely go back to Ecuador and the Galapagos one day.
