It's a brownie (or chocolate cake, whatever floats your boat) in a mug. Whatever you call it, it's pretty dang cute. I realize a brownie and chocolate cake aren't the same thing, but this is like a brownie/cake type texture. It's both!
And what's more, this recipe is as easy as pie. Or as easy as brownie, if you'd like. So anytime someone says "Where's the cake at," you can just whip up one of these bad boys in the microwave and impress everyone, including yourself because you didn't set fire to the microwave. That's how easy this is.
2 tablespoons of water 2 tablespoons of melted butter 3 tablespoons of plain flour 2 tablespoons of self raising flour 4 tablespoons of granulated sugar 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder Quarter of a tablespoon of vanilla extract 2 tablespoons of caramel sauce Quarter of a tablespoon of salt Yogurt or ice cream to serve
1) In a mug, put the water, butter, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir gently. 2) Add the cocoa powder, self raising flour, plain flour, and sugar into the mug, and mix well. 3) Microwave. Start off with a minute, and if it doesn't look completely cooked, give it another thirty seconds. It's actually nice when the center isn't completely cooked, because than it's all liquidy chocolate in the middle. Yum! 4) Put a spoonful of yogurt or ice cream on the top, and drizzle a little bit of caramel sauce and salt on the top.
Boom, you just made yourself a great mug brownie. Be proud! Ella xx
