Oh my gosh, I'm so excited for this blog post. I've interviewed nine different bloggers, and their answers have been absolutely amazing. These people and their blogs have inspired me so much, and it was so interesting reading the answers, and getting to know them a little bit.
1. Tell us a little bit about yourself.
Brianna: I am the sole looker-after-er, proud author and designer of MannaFest, my fabulous new blog! I love a bunch of stuff and I share it all through my blog. I am super duper social, and 'slightly' obsessed with Skittles...
Martha: I'm Martha, a 13 year old blogger from New Zealand! I love to dance, go on adventures and hang out with my beautiful friends! I like looking in homeware in shops (especially Country Road and Citta Design ahh!) and put together outfits for fashion posts on my blog!
Michelle: I'm a 14 year old blogger from Christchurch, New Zealand! I'm a perfectionist, and I love cacti and cliche bottled water that you only buy because the bottle looks nice. I'm year 11 at school this year. Some of my other hobbies include swimming and dance!
Hannah: My name is Hannah and I'm 13 from Brisbane. I love going to the beach, photography, DIY's, fashion and plants!
Lucy: I'm a teen blogger who loves spending a lot of time at the beach, reading Frankie, shopping with friends, taking lots of photos and drinking heaps of tea!! Marseille and I both live in the beautiful N.Z.
Marseille: I'm a teen blogger who started a blog with my best friend Lucy this year! I love fashion, photography, dance and sport, but most of all shopping. Travel is another one of my favourite things with destinations like Santorini and Paris being on the top of my list.
Camille: Hello! My name is Camille and I am 13 years old. I lived in Vietnam for three years from the age of six! I LOVE retro clothing and items, and I own over 250 records and I started blogging only two months ago! I am SO happy about all the wonderful things that have been happening and so excited for the things to come. I am hoping to promote my drawings more and take better photographs.
Jess: I'm 15 years old, and I love singing. I want to be either a coroner or an anthropologist.
Emily: My name is Emily, I'm a 14 year old blogger from New Zealand who loves pretty things.
Lucy: We both try to center our posts on L&M blog around fashion, beauty and lifestyle, and that's what the majority of our posts are! Having said this, in the future we'd like to try a few photo shoots and DIY's.
Marseille: I'm more into fashion as opposed to DIY's and photography so we try and meet in the middle with a bit of beauty, fashion and lifestyle.
Camille: Because I have just started I am still kind of playing around with it. I think the main things will be art/design/DIY, fashion, food, and travel/places.
Jess: Everything and anything.
Emily: I post about things I love in my life, pretty things, and inspirational things.
3. Why did you start blogging?
Brianna: I've always loved the idea of using your talents to influence the little part of the world around you. I think it's so cool that I can share and chat to people. People telling me I 'brightened their day' is the best. feeling. ever!
Michelle: I started blogging because I had been following @freshlypickked (on instagram) on my personal account for ages (probably around 5 months or something, quite a while.) I absolutely loved reading her blog and she was my main inspiration. I then decided to start my blog. Shortly after, I found a little birdy blog and also vanilla craft blog, and I was swooning over how gorgeous their blogs were (both the design as well as the content.) These are my favourite blogs and I look up to the so much because all their blogs are successful and have good quality pictures and well thought out posts.
Hannah: Um well... me and my friend were gonna start a YouTube channel but then realised how shy we were so we decided to make a blog each so we could tell other people about what we like and do for fun! And so it started off as just pictures of things we liked and reviews on products.
Emily: I started blogging because my friend did it and I had an Instagram and many bloggers followed me and encouraged me to start blogging.
Marseille: My favourite post so far is the January current favourites because it included heaps of different stuff and that's the kind of post I like to read on other blogs!
Camille: My favourite blog post I have done is probably the 'Food Dudes'. This is probably my favourite because I loved learning about the people behind food trucks. I still have a couple more posts to do for the series.I also really enjoy looking back at my first blog posts.
Emily: My favourite is my 'summer buys' post; it's just so pretty! The colours work well and just suit my blog so well!
5. Who inspires you?
Brianna: People who have a voice. Any voice. To be a teenage girl who has a voice, and isn't afraid to use it, is already MASSIVE accomplishment in my books! Be proud, you legends!
Martha: So many people inspire me, like Jasmine Dowling and Alexa Chung, and also Chessie from Freshly Pickked and Chloe from A Little Birdy Blog (and many others of course!) My friends also inspire me daily.
Camille: I am inspired by anyone who has the guts to do what they love to do, especially if they are around my age! Zali Bartholomew (isn't everyone?), Chloe Mortez, Malala Yousafzai, the list is endless!
Jess: I don't really have any blogging inspirations.
Emily: Successful bloggers inspire me because they all started from nothing and worked up to the top with hard work that not many people realise.
7. List three things that cheer you up on a bad day.
Brianna: 1. PEOPLE! I am a 100% people person. I love chatting with anyone! 2. I've found that reading a book with music and a handful of Skittles can turn any day around! (Especially the red ones... they work wonders.) 3. Yeah, just food. Pizza, hot chips, mango, tacos, burritos, watermelon, Skittles, dried fruit, m&m's, white chocolate, strawberries...!
Michelle: 1. Coming home to a compliment on my Instagram, blog or email. 2. Going for a swim, doing yoga or any exercise - it really helps clear my head and honestly makes me feel so good afterwards. 3. Rain pelting down at night or eating lots of chocolate.
Lucy: On a bad day I always like pampering myself and eating LOTS of comforting, yummy food. On these sort of days I usually set myself up with a nice hot bath or shower, with Lush products! 'Happy Hippie' by Lush is a great pick me up! I also really like having hot tea, like Turkish apple from T2 and a good ice-cream.
Marseille: I always like to do some exercise like going for a run, swim or even just outside for a bit of fresh air. Drinking heaps of water is always refreshing or an ice-cream on a a hot day!
8. If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Brianna: Hmmm... I'd love to say Skittles, but with something that sweet, enough IS enough! Pizza is a pretty great food as far as food groups go, so thats as good as it's gonna get!
Camille: Hmmm, maybe sushi. Or marinara pasta. Or risotto. Maybe even Pho! I can't decide!
Jess: Nachos! (No meat, vegetarian.)
Marseille: Definitely when a couple of people said they were inspired by us to start a blog! It was really nice of them to tell us and we have kept in contact since.
Camille: This is hard! I really enjoy getting random compliments on my blog and Instagram from people I have never, ever met before. Even the smallest of compliments make me smile!
Jess: "You're a really good singer."
10. What are some of your dreams/hopes/plans for the future?
Martha: I would love to be a dancer or a dance teacher, a designer/fashion designer, a photographer, be a writer for a magazine or own a little shop. (Though I do already own a very small online shop called Pear Pot, when I am older I would love to make it bigger if that makes sense! Hehe)
Hannah: Some of my plans for the future to be a successful blogger and maybe open a business selling clothing or just get paid to blog because it's such a fun thing to do! And tbh my mum is always saying 'get off your computer' and I say 'I have business to do' so it feels like I need to interact with people and show them the things I love!
Lucy: I'm not really sure what I'd like to do yet but we both share a love of fashion so something to do with the fashion industry! In the future Marseille and I plan to go to Santorini because it's just so beautiful!
Marseille: Just to keep developing our blog and hopefully a bit of travel and overseas shopping!
Thank you all so much to all the amazing bloggers who answered the questions and sent me photos to use, this was so fun to plan and write. You lot really are inspiring.
