Yay for another life update post thingy!
on the 12th of September 2015 was the Victorian State School Spectacular aka School Spec. Thousands and thousands of students, dancers, singers, and people who can play instruments (instrumentalists?), from all around Victoria came together after nearly a year of rehearsing to put on a huge show for thousands in Hisense arena. I (and a few others from my school) were part of the mass dance, which involved about two thousand students I think, and we were part of eight dances which was just so exciting! I'm not going to lie, I'm pretty pumped about not having to remember all that choreography anymore - but I will miss it. It was amazing.
I think the memory that will stick with me the most was right at the end of everything - we had just finished the last dance of the last show, and there was about two thousand sweaty bodies crammed into this overheated warehouse under stage, and we were all laughing and smiling and just so proud of this performance we had just completed that we had spent months and months working on, and then from behind us, the song Happy by Pharrell started playing and we all just started singing as loud as we could and clapping and jamming out, and we broke into a round of applause for ourselves and each other and everyone involved in the show. It was the most amazing sense of unity and I loved it.
Hay fever season:
is here and I hate it. Shoutout to all my people also suffering; I feel you.
have finally started and I'm super excited that I'll have more time to do the things I love; writing, blogging, and making YouTube videos! Long live the holidays.
I only have five more weeks of year 10, and then it's into year 11 (ahh, excitement and nerve cocktail). My school does this thing called Jumpstart where we all go into the next year level a couple of weeks before Summer vacation. Over all I'm excited for year 11 now that I have my classes sorted out. I can keep German and Studio Art in my timetable, and I'm dropping Health. To be honest I never wanted to do Health so it worked out quite well anyway!
ink dreaming 2.0:
is what I'm calling the new blog design! (It's actually about the ninth or so makeover but who's keeping score, right?) Couldn't decide on a a colour scheme for the life of me, but I finally decided on pink/neutral thing. Which is actually pretty similar to the old colour scheme now that I think about it, hmm. Oh well, the main difference is the header and navigation menu. I'm really pleased with it!
is short for National Novel Writing Month, which is an annual thing in November where a whole bunch of people try to write a fifty-thousand word story in 30 days. Let me tell you, that is a lot of writing. This year will be the first year I take part in it, although I have done fifty-thousand in a month before. I'm so excited! I have my plan all sorted (well, nearly), and I'm planning on vlogging it, so look out for that video at the end of November! Ahh ah so excited!
I have a party to go to tonight, but this stupid cold/allergy/hay fever induced awfulness is making me tired and I'm going to this party in my pyjamas. It isn't a pyjama party either, might I add. Oh, the glamorous life.
Oh well. Speak soon loves,
