My life has been vair busy lately and I've done a ton of stuff that was a lot of fun so I've given into doing the 'lately' posts, the one that every blogger and their mother does where we babble on about our lives and it is occasionally a laugh.
Also, I'm nosey and I like to read other peoples lately posts. So there's that.
My sixteenth birthday:
was on the twenty-fourth of July and I had a lovely day! I kept the party low key; a few friends round to my place to watch movies, gossip, and eat salad. And ice cream straight from the tub (good job Ella, you sounded healthy for a total of about 0.7 seconds). When my mum asked me if I wanted to order pizzas or whatever for the party, I spent the next few days wondering how how I could make healthy food, well, party-ish, and I saw a photo of a candy bar someone had at their wedding, so I thought a salad bar would be fun? Good news: it was! We had potato salad, garden salad w/ fruit, coronation chicken salad and a whole range of others but I shan't bore you with the grizzly details.
And we also had seven separate tubs of ice cream and Oreos dipped in chocolate so I'm not even going to try pretend we were eating healthy.
Girlfriend Priceline Pharmacy Model Search:
is a annual model search in Australia run by Girlfriend magazine. Myself and a friend have decided to go this year and I'm so so so excited! I've had my outfit planned for ages and I've been going through all the articles on the magazine's website about past winners. (Speaking of outfit planning: I'm not the only one who plans outfits month in advance of events, right?)
Good luck to everyone who's auditioning this year! If you've been to one of Girlfriend's models searches before, I'd love to hear about your experience and what you wore! Tweet me or tag me in a piccie on Instagram. Or just drop a comment below if that's easier.
Sense 8 and House:
are two shows on Netflix that I've recently been watching and loving. Sense 8 (of which I have only watched two episodes) seems to be about eight people who are somehow connected, and they can feel each others pain, joy, all that. They also (I think) have access to each others skills, including languages! It's such a cool plot idea, and it's done very well from what I can see. If you've already seen Sense 8 please please don't spoil it.
House is a medical drama about a doctor who is very good at diagnosing rare conditions. It's not my type of show at all but I actually love it and I'm fangirling. I've only seen one season, so I've got a bit of catching up to do.
Warm jumpers + knits:
have been my absolute favourite this winter, and I've purchased too many in the last couple of months, such as the very pretty window-pane check jumper in the photo above. Somebody don't let me spend any more.
That was a very long post so congratulations if you made it this far!
Now that we're all caught up with me, what's going on in your life? I love hearing from you guys (as previously stated, I'm so nosy) so tell me what's up with you in the comments or tweet me or something.
