Today I thought I'd review two of the Naked palettes by Urban Decay. These were in my January favourites video, but I really do love these and I thought I'd just go into a bit more detail!
Naked 2 is made up of 12 gorgeous neutral/taupe shades, and includes (from left to right) Foxy, Half baked, Bootycall, Chopper, Tease, Snakebite, Suspect, Pistol, Verve, YDK, Busted, and Blackout.
Three shades are mattes (Foxy, Tease, and Blackout), the rest are metallics and satin finishes, and Chopper is metallic with micro glitter.
Five shades (Bootycall, Tease, Snakebite, Pistol and Busted) are all palette exclusives, and although Foxy used to be available in individual pot form, it isn't anymore, so it's kind of exclusive to the palette.
I think my favourites are Chopper, Pistol and Verve, but the whole palette is gorgeous! It also comes with a dual ended brush, one end is a rounded blending brush, and the other is flat ended. The rounded blending brush is honestly my favourite makeup brush ever, it does an amazing job and it's so, so soft.
Naked 3 is made up of more blushed and slightly pinky tones, and includes (from left to right) Strange, Dust, Burnout, Limit, Buzz, Trick, Nooner, Liar, Factory, Mugshot, Darkside, and Blackheart.
There are three matte shades (Strange, Limit, and Nooner), and the rest are shimmery shades, and Dust and Buzz both have micro-glitter in them.
All 12 shades in Naked 3 are brand new and exclusive to the palette, so that's pretty exciting!
My favourite shades in the palette would have to be Burnout, Mugshot, and Darkside, but all the shades are oh-so-pretty. It also comes with the same dual ended brush as Naked 2.
Overall, I love both palettes and there is no way I could pick a favourite! Naked 2 is probably just slightly more practical than 3, as it has more neutral and basic shades. If you were only going to buy one, I'd recommend the second. That being said, if you already have quite a few basic eyeshadow colours and you know you'll like the rose gold theme that Naked 3 has, go for the third palette. It's really up to you.
And happy Fri-yay! I'm so ready for this weekend- it has been a super stressful week full of countless tests and other things, but at least it's all behind me now, and next week is a fresh start.
I'm hoping you all have a blissful weekend! I don't have work this weekend so I'll be relaxing, working on a video, and taking endless bubble baths. Cheers to that.
