ps. I took this photo at Central, how bomb is that sky??
Hey, hi, what's up?
Since the last time I posted (I really need to get some kind of schedule going whoops), I turned seventeen! Although I spent my actual birthday, the 24th of July, at a four hour play rehearsal and the rest of the day writing an essay from hell for English, I went out the night before my birthday with some friends for dinner, which was so so lovely. We went to China Town, and had dumplings before going to a desert bar and having these to-die-for sundaes. One was chocolate, and it had coffee flavoured jelly and chocolate cereal, which I'm now realising doesn't sound that appealing in words, but it was amazing, trust me.
The play I mentioned earlier is my schools production, for which I'm a main dancer, which has been so much fun! Next week is performance week, which is going to be mad, but I'm so excited. The play (well, technically it's a musical, but anywayy) is called Popstars and it's about a fame obsessed high school set in the nineties. The style and fashion in the play is so fun, one of my costumes is this crazy sparkly silver crop top with some seriously glittery fringe, it's wild.
Something you would of seen way too much of and are probably sick of if you've got me on Snapchat (if you don't- what are you doing with your life?? It's @ inkdreaming ! wink wink) was the NYX launch in Melbourne a week and a half ago. (vlog here!) I have been a huge fan of NYX for so long and I am so, so excited they're finally launching here. My friend Jess and I woke up at 2:30am on a Saturday especially for it, so you can bet we've been excited about this for too long. We spent three and a half hours lining up (and catching Pokemon lol), which was all worth it because we were two of the first one hundred people there, which meant we got to do a meet and greet with several beauty bloggers and YouTubers, who were all so lovely, and we also received a gift bag with so, so much makeup inside. Like, way too much for one person. Just kidding! I'm a firm believer in never having too much makeup, which is evident because I also spent too much there, and I went back the next weekend and accidentally bought more. Someone take away my bank card, now.
Also, did we all get addicted to Pokemon Go? I'm going to be so fit, honestly. And here, just to tell a funny (it's not funny) story: The other day, I was in the car, and we drove past a pidgey, and pikachu. They were right next to each other, and I was really excited because I've never seen pikachu, and I accidentally tapped on the freaking pidgey. Whyyy.
All caught up now? Yep, good. What's going on with you guys?? Tweet me or something, yeah?
I know I've been a bit absent lately, and I'm so sorry, I've hated not being here. But, the good news is, is that I have so many ideas and blogposts in my drafts folders, which is definitely something.
Speak soon loves,
It's 6:30 on a Tuesday night and I'm sort of having a midlife crisis at sixteen. Good times.
To elaborate, I'm behind in every single subject except one, I haven't posted a video in over a month, this is the first blogpost in over two weeks (ah hi I'm sorry I'm back), and all of a sudden I don't know what I want to do after school anymore??? And I have a literature SAC that is very overdue and I have two paragraphs that are very bad. So yeah, lets hope I can get my life together soon.
To change the subject entirely, since I've last posted I've binged watched about two seasons of Orphan Black, which I'm slowly becoming obsessed with. The show is basically about clones, and the amazing thing is, is that one actress, Tatiana Maslany, plays all of the clones. Honestly, it is some pretty mind blowing stuff to watch. Sometimes, one of the clones will pretend to be one of the other clones and that is just the coolest thing because you're never quite sure if the character is really who you think it is.
Tomorrow's Wednesday, so we only have a half day of school which'll be nice. Usually my friends and I bring a bunch of snacks and play Cards Against Humanity (occasionally we study too!!), but tomorrow I have to head down to work to do a few things. Speaking of, the job has been going pretty well! I work in an Osteopath clinic as a receptionist, and it's been really good. I don't work too often, and we are literally talking once a fortnight and that's it, so I might apply to a few places and see if I can get a few more hours anywhere else.
And the countdown to Central is on! I'm going on a two week trip at the end of June to Central Australia with the school and I'm getting pretty excited! We're going to bus up, camp a lot, see Uluru (!!!), and tons of other amazing things. I'm planning on doing a video diary, so I can't wait for you all to see that.
Thanks for letting me ramble on, as mentioned the past few days have been so stressful and I think I needed this little chat more than I realised. I hope you're all doing okay, and remember to take care of yourselves! I think I'll have a hot shower, watch an episode of Orphan Black and have an early night.
Lots and lots of love,
I feel like it's been forever since I've posted on here, even though it's only been a week and a half. It has been forever since I've done a chatty post though, so I thought I'd just do a little catch up!
First of all, I started my first job! I work at the reception desk of a local osteo clinic, and I really love it. I've only done a few shifts so far, but it's a really lovely place to work and all the people there are so nice. And I won't lie, it's nice to have a bit of money in my bank account. It's hard to buy clothes when you're broke, aha.
I was planning on buying a new vlog camera, but I very gracefully dropped my phone yesterday and it smashed into a million pieces. There was glass everywhere. My bank account is crying, I'm crying. I had to get it fixed straight away because it was so broken you couldn't even touch it, and being without a phone is a wee bit inconvenient, so the vlog camera might have to wait another few weeks.
I also started year 11 the other week, and I'm already drowning in homework. Good times.
But I'm actually quite happy with my classes, and I'm loving Psychology, which is my accelerated (year twelve) subject. We had our first SAC (an important test type thing) the other day, and we're still waiting on results, but I think it went okay. I might of entirely made up an answer to one question about stress response because I had no clue about the answer, but shh, don't tell anyone.
And speaking of school, I'm going to audition for the school production tomorrow! My school did Grease way back in 2012 when I was a tiny, awkward, year 7, and I was part of the chorus and it was one of the best things I've ever been a part of! Then my school unfortunately stopped the production program BUT this year they've brought it back and I'm so so so excitedandhappy! I'm not too flash at singing so I'll just have to blow them away with my acting skills (can I even act who knows).
I've also entirely redecorated my room, and I'm so so pleased with it! There will likely be a room tour video up on my YouTube soonish, and I'm beyond pumped for it. So keep an eye out for that!
So now that I've spent the past forever talking about me and my life, what's up with you? I hope you're all doing super well! So much love,
