I hope everyone has had a good Easter weekend! I have been eating an unecessary amount of chocolate and hot cross buns - bliss. By the way, apple and cinnamon hot cross buns - get on them. Better than fruit or chocolate ones. You heard it here first.
I'm sure we're all aware but I'll point out that one of my favourite ways to celebrate a holiday is with Lush's limited edition products. And I wonder why I'm broke??
This Easter, their stuff has been amazing. Really Lush, you've outdone yourselves. Thought I'd post a few pics because I am in love!
This wondrous thing the Bunch of Carrots bubble bar. And how cute is it, hey? It smells so good - it's been sitting next to my bed the last few days and I keep catching the scent of citrus and bergamot - so yummy. Want to eat them. Trying to convince self not to.
Golden egg is the type of bath bomb you are in love with, or you absolutely hate. It's covered in glitter- sparkles are absolutely packed on, and it demands to make a mess and leave glitter everywhere. Personally I don't see a problem with having glitter everywhere, but I can see how some would. This is so so moisturising because of the amount of cocoa butter in it. If you don't mind lots of glitter, this is one you have to experience at least once, believe me.
Sooo, what else can I say? School goes back tomorrow. Kind of looking forward to getting back into things- the sooner we get through year 12, the sooner we can be done with it. We've started to organise what we're doing for schoolies (where you go somewhere with your mates and celebrate the end of school, for non-aussies). Instead of doing the Queensland partying thing which is what most people do, and looks like a lot of fun, not going to lie, a group of friends and I have decided to spend the three weeks after exams backpacking around New Zealand! I'm so excited to be able to take my friends around my home country. I can't wait.
Well, enough already. I've got an essay due tomorrow morning and and need to finish it. But if you wanna distract me (please do), tweet me and tell me something you did this weekend, or like send me a photo of your dog. Anything but this awful structure essay.
Ever since I've started wearing glasses, I've noticed that you can get away with a few different things makeup wise when wearing frames. Some looks are more tricky to pull off with glasses, some are easier. I'm not trying to say that those of us with glasses should change our entire makeup routine, but it's a lot of fun messing around with different looks and seeing what you can do with your glasses!
A big thank you to Optically.com.au for helping to bring this post together! Optically has a huge range of frames, both eyeglasses and sunglasses. There is so many different colours and styles of glasses to choose from, but how cute is this pair of oval tortoiseshell frames?
Lipstick // NYX's Soft Matte Lip Cream in 'Madrid'
Glasses and a bright lip colour is always such a fun, classic look! I kept my eyeshadow nude, and used this white eyeliner in my waterline to keep my eyes looking wide and open behind my glasses. A nude liner will do the same thing! Make sure to use a pencil liner.
Eyeliner // NYX's Glam Liner Aqua Luxe in 'Glam Nude'
Bit more of a fun look - a super sparkly nude/white gold liner! I also flecked a bit through my lashes. This is a bit of an intense look, but having glasses tones the look down and it's easier to get away with. The perks! The thicker your frames are, the more they will take away from what you've done with your liner - meaning that it's perfect for experimenting with different colours and placement of liner.
If you're looking for a new pair of specs, I can not recommend Optically enough! Their glasses are incredibly affordable - because they're an online store, there's no extra costs to them and they can afford lower prices than most places.
Their service is so friendly, everyone I spoke to was lovely and ordering glasses with your your prescription is so simple! They were also delivered so quickly, which is always a fun surprise to find a package on your doorstep you weren't expecting for another few days :')

Hands up if you get the driest hands ever in the winter! *girl raising hand emoji*
The weather is getting colder and colder down here in Melbourne, and my skin is dry and cracked, and it's. not. fun. Especially my hands.
So naturally I am super excited to be working with Empassion Natural! I've been using their citrus hand cream over the past two weeks and oh my goodness, this one of my favourite moisturisers yet.
I will admit, I'm often quite lazy with moisturiser and hand cream, and don't use it very often, because it takes so long to sink into your skin! I hate when your hands feel all greasy and you kind of sit there for ten minutes waiting for it to absorb properly, so I was incredibly pleased to find this hand cream didn't leave you with that greasy feeling. I've been using it a few times a day knowing that I can just pump some into my hands and go!
You can check out their range of hair and skin care here.
